This is a blog about the making of a story as part of the Out on A Limb on-line storytelling project that took place in The Wirral during the Spring and Summer of 2010.
I'm glad you're feeling keen on the idea of doing a Scribd project. I can't wait to see what it turns out like.
If you like, you can use the questions I have typed below to help you hand-write a reflective piece about the making of your story that Elaine can help you put on your blog.
Here are the questions:
1. How much of the story is autobiographical and how much of it is made up? What do you think the difference is in technique for autobiographical writing and fictional writing? 2. Do you think writing about places has an effect on how other people view the place? Has writing about this place had an effect on how you view the place? Why do you think this is? 3. What is your writing process like? Do you write with a pen first and type it up, or right onto your computer? Tell us about the secrets of your writing process! 4. How do you know when a story is finished? 5. How is working on a collaborative project different to writing on your own? Have you had to make compromises in order to stick to the brief for the project?
Well done Margaret This is looking really good. Love the idea of your own hand writing I thinkit makes your story even more personal and the reader feel closer than when reading text.
My name is Margaret and I am a short story writer and avid reader. I come from Scotland but I have lived in the Wirral for 35 years. I live with my daughter and my grand-daughter.

ReplyDeleteHi Margaret,
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame you couldn't make it today, but don't worry. Just give me a ring when you have the time and energy to do a bit of Scribding!
Take care and speak to you soon!
