This is a blog about the making of a story as part of the Out on A Limb on-line storytelling project that took place in The Wirral during the Spring and Summer of 2010.
well done margaret you found your voice at last. This is exactly what you have been trying to tell us for a while now. It works really well and makes a different kind of story, which is great.
Well done Margaret. I've been waiting with baited breath to find out what kind of story you are going to tell us. Like Barbara says, this is a really different kind of story - it feels like a collage or a patchwork of all the different ideas we've been working on together so far and I think your writing is going to be one of those pieces that links everyone else's stories together.
Have you decided what images you'd like to use with your story on the final site?
The tips about editing are up on the main project blog now, so if you don't have the paper copy of the hand out you can go there and read them on screen as a reminder while you work, if you like.
I enjoyed reading this. There is a real dreamlike quality to it and I liked how you can't be quite sure if the narrator is talking to someone else or to herself. I also think that, because you have such lovely handwriting, we should make the most of this and maybe your story could be hand written and we can scan it in. On Thursday, I will show you how we might be able to make it look like a book, where you can 'turn the pages' on screen!
i really liked reading this and the setup was really good showing your handwriting i am just so glad it was not mine . the way all the stories link is good and shows people the written work right from scratch A gold star!!!!!
My name is Margaret and I am a short story writer and avid reader. I come from Scotland but I have lived in the Wirral for 35 years. I live with my daughter and my grand-daughter.
